Boy, discussing “that ad” just took off in the Buddhist blogosphere, didn’t it? So many people have said it better, so I won’t try. Instead, a few thoughts -
- It’s a Super Bowl ad – ads in bad taste fit right in, really.
- The more we pay attention to it and discuss the company by name the more press they get. Hence the lack of said name/links in this post.
- With all the fuss over the tasteless Tibet ad, I’m surprised I’ve not seen more on the animated Coke ad, which I view as pro-Tibet and poking fun at China.
Check out the buildings and prayer flags, then watch as the likable heroes of the story non-violently defeat a Giant Red Dragon. As an aside, I find using a capitalist icon like Coca-Cola to defeat the “dragon” entertaining.
